Individual Coaching

Valerie provides one-on-one coaching to highly motivated professionals looking to challenge their current perspective and fine tune their lives.  Valerie coaches with a results-oriented vision, and expects courage and a serious commitment to the partnership from her clients.

Consultation:  Valerie provides complimentary consultations with prospective clients to discuss coaching, establish a connection, and determine your best course of action.

Foundation Session:    The coaching relationship begins with an initial Foundation Session.  During this session, Valerie will work with you to discover your goals, values, accomplishments, challenges, and expectations.  From this session, you will obtain a clear understanding of where you are right now, and where you want to be.

Coaching Sessions:    Following the Foundation Session, Valerie will set up regular coaching sessions with you.  Typically, these sessions run 40-45 minutes, three times per month.   Given your busy schedule and the reality of work and personal obligations, flexibility in scheduling is always built in.

Commitment:    Although a commitment is not required, clients generally find that building in an initial timeframe of 3 months for the coaching is the most effective way to achieve results.  As with anything in life, the success from coaching comes from dedication and hard work in between sessions.  To see the change you wish to make, allow yourself a realistic period of time to reflect, process, make choices, and fall off the wagon once in a while.

Coaching Packages

1.    Six Month Coaching Program (approximately 14 hours)

This program is recommended for most clients and is designed for those working on targeted issues.  Within this time frame, the client is motivated to make progress and see growth.  The client sets goals and the 6 month framework creates a structure (“book ends”) to maximize the momentum and foster success.*

This program includes:

  • Foundation Session (1.5 hours)
  • 2 hours of coaching per month (3, 40 minute session or 2, 1 hour sessions)
  • Strengths Assessment
  • Coaching materials and assessments to uncover the client’s goals, values and obstacles
  • Unlimited email correspondence to support the client between sessions
  • 15 minute check-in or prep calls, when needed

*The client may opt to continue on a monthly basis following the completion of the program.

2.    Monthly Coaching

This open-ended coaching program with 2-3 coaching sessions per month (2 hours of coaching/month) is ideal for clients working on a variety of areas and looking for ongoing support.  Objectives and goals are set at the outset and the same foundation work is performed as with clients in the 6 month program.

Valerie has many long-term clients who look forward to regular calls to work on current, pressing matters, as well as long term planning.

This program includes:

  • Foundation Session (1.5 hours)
  • 2 hours of coaching per month (3, 40 minute session or 2, 1 hour sessions)
  • Strengths Assessment
  • Coaching materials and assessments to uncover the client’s goals, values and obstacles
  • Unlimited email correspondence to support the client between sessions
  • 15 minute check-in or prep calls, when needed

3.    Three Month Laser Coaching Program

This program is designed for clients needing targeted coaching in one particular area of their lives.  It is ideal for someone who has specific, short term goals, and seeks support in creating and executing a plan.  The coaching is lively, very action oriented, and Valerie holds her clients accountable each step of the way.*

This program includes:

  • Foundation Session (1.5 hours)
  • 2 hours of coaching per month (3, 40 minute session or 2, 1 hour sessions)
  • Strengths Assessment
  • Coaching materials and assessments to uncover the client’s goals, values and obstacles
  • Unlimited email correspondence to support the client between sessions
  • 15 minute check-in or prep calls, when needed

*The client may opt to continue on a monthly basis following the completion of the program. 

Workshops and Group Coaching

Valerie designs workshops and group coaching sessions tailor made to you and/or your organization’s needs.

Valerie currently runs a monthly, group coaching program in New York, the Momentum Coaching Circle,  which focuses on women who are starting their own businesses and need support in creating a business plan, setting goals, and designing an individualized picture that takes into account the diverse facets of their lives.

Valerie has also developed and ran the following workshops in New York:
